I am so excited to be a part of the Altenew Educator Certification Program. Above is my 1st card I have created for the Layering 2 class. Since it just went from 92 degrees to 72 degrees here in Illinois, I decided to go for fall colors for the flower. First I stamped the outline of the flower from
Garden Treasure in jet black, and then stamped it again on a post it note to create a mask for the flower so I could then stamp the leaves. Using, frayed leaf, forest garden and evergreen I stamped 3 leaves while the mask was on the flower.
After removing the mask, I stamped the rest of the flower in orange cream, autumn blaze and firebrick. (I stamped the leaves before fully stamping the flower in case I made any mistakes, that way I wouldn't have to redo the flower too - I have learned from past mistakes).
To assemble the card, I mounted it on kraft cardstock that was 1/2" larger, and then adheared that to a white card base. To finish it off I added
Thinking of you banner and a few clear Nuvo drops. Hope you enjoyed the card!
