Fall Penguin by Whimsy

Hello Everyone,
I had so much fun coloring up this card from Whimsy - I just absolutely love Crissy Armstrong's penguins. Since much time was spent coloring with my copics, I kept the card simple by mounting it on black cardstock and using the new MFT Black and White Dots as a side accent ..Hope you enjoy!

Hello, I have been crafting for over 20 years ago, but really got into cardmaking over 4 years ago when my oldest son left for college. I started making him cards just so he would know I loved him and was thinking about him. Fast forward 1 year to later when he was unpacking from college and had a box of cards with him. When he shared that he saved every card I ever made him and that he waited to open them until he needed a lift me up, I was sold. 5 years later, I am now addicted to cardmaking for both my boys, and love to send a little homemade love whenever I can.

ABOUT THIS BLOG

I am an engineer by schooling, but after being let go from Caterpillar after 19 years during mass layoffs, I decided to start working at our local scrapbook store for fun. It was there that I discovered my love of teaching classes. I currently teach an Art Impressions Watercolor Class and a Coloring with Copics Class monthly.

Blogging what I love to do was the next natural step for me. While trying to determine a name for my blog, I enlisted the help of my younger son, who is very good at english to assist. Almost right away he came up with the name "With Love and Cards" because as he put it, "sending love through cards is the essence of your cardmaking, so how about your title be like a salutation of a letter", hence my blog name.

I am really new to all this, but I hope you enjoy my blog!
